“La Corsa dei Ceri” of Gubbio takes place on the eve of the feast of the patron St. Ubaldo, dates back to 1160 and has never been interrupted. The “Ceri” are three gigantic wooden structures of about four tons and more than four meters high, surmounted by statues of St. Ubaldo, St. George and St. Anthony. The day of the festival are carried on the shoulders of “Ceraioli” trough the streets of the city to the difficult and arduous ascent of Mount Ingino, where the Basilica of the Patron rises. Perugia Flower Show is a trade show of rare and unusual plants (70 exhibitors) taking place in the enchanting surroundings of the Frontone Gardens, Borgo XX. Many courses will alternate during Perugia Flower Show, both for those approaching to the world of green and for experienced “gardeners”: basic and specialized gardening classes, lectures on the history, use and care of plants, laboratories of cultivation and more. This year there will be many activities also for the youngest visitors, to bring them closer to ecology and environmental protection. Fri 11:30 am– 8:00 pm Sat/Sun 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
